Reverting back to older MFM map for the moment.
Do you guys meet regularly in a get together or something in the Klang Valley? If so pls let me know. meed to meet up asap.

Mine is a localized 3790T and one of the first generation to be released in Mal-Sin. Got a few hic-ups but now functional.
Can you confirm MFM is the only active map in the 3790? All other preloaded maps are de-activated ?
Did you try to reload the installer with a fresh download ? I have had corruption previously which result in no map display.

Yes, I have deactivated all of the preloaded maps. I cannot see the MFM map to activate it.
I had earlier hard reset all user info and reinstalled the latest software from Garmin as well. No luck.

I meant did you download a fresh copy of the MFM installer and then use this to generate the map file ( minus the polygons ) and see if this cures the problem ?

Hmm... remarkable experience U R going through.
I do hope mine doesn't experience this similar bewildering
entanglement when it is due to be updated by other brother who has already purchased on my behalf when he gets onto it as the month May draws closer. 
I hope SB will be able to help resolve with your unit soon... like an online open heart surgery.

Few things to double check...
1. Are you installing the MFM map in SD Micro Card?
2. Before installing the latest map, did you delete the old MFM map into Trash & Empty Recycle Bin? By right the old map should be deleted first before you copy the new MFM map into the SD Micro Card. Make sure you don't have 2 maps in the same Maps folder.
