try to update latest msm map but ask to install into memory card due to low memory
2GB internal not enough
can we just copy/replace new map from memory card to internal memory..?

Yes U can if map is MFM, not sure if map is MSM

Buy to suite your budget. 255W is a legacy model to consider if budget is a concern else go for 1350

i have a nuvi 255w bought in denmark with europe maps...
1) can i installed malaysia/singapore maps without deleting the europe maps?
2) is it possible to get free malaysia/singapore maps?
3) if i need to purchase the map, where and how much?

Yes. The pre-loaded Europe map should be in main memory under file name gmaprom.img. Install MFM map into SD card /garmin directory

From our download section here viewtopic.php?p=123970#p123970 Just unzip the installer and run it. Install the gmapsupp.img into SD card/garmin directory

3) if i need to purchase the map, where and how much?

I think this site owner must emphasize more of the "F" in mfm

Bros, I have a MFM and a Thai maps in my 255. The issue is I can select or deselect the Thai map but cannot do the same thing to the MFM map (it is always sellected). I am afraid to erase all the maps or reconfigure the gps because it has been running fine until this moment (touch wood) except this small irritant. Any of you good soul out there who has come across this problem and solution to it?

If your MFM map is has file name gmapoem.img, then it cannot be deselected. Change name to gmapprom.img or gmapsupp.img.
