Have you check under Main Menu - Tools - Settings - MyMaps .... does MFM-Garmin 110221 appear there ?

If so you will need to deactivate the City Navigator Sin-Mal NT 2010.40 and Malsingmaps Malaysia/Singapore/Brunei NT2010.40 map.

Just tic the MFM-Garmin 110221 map.

You do not need to delete the MSM not City Navigator map. You will loose Junction View feature as MFM does not have this.

if i not wrong kindly this unit cannot use "gmapsupp" as map name. u need to change the map name as MFM-Garmin 110221.img or just name it as MFM.img. the new version nuvi can support map name other than "gmapsupp". with this option u also can load other map just rename it and paste it to \sdcard\map\.

Redownload MFM installer and re-create fresh copy of gmapsupp.img
Use another SD card
Try and see if this works.

You can install the map on main memory without install it on SDcard. the easiest and effective way that i found out is, after you copy the map to main memory, dont disconnect yet your device. shutdown your computer and after completely shutdown, you can disconnect your device. im using Win7 here. before this i just disconnect my device by press button "safely remove". but it comes with damages files on my device. after i shutdown the computer and disconnect device, no more warning to scan damages drives on my computer and it perfectly install map on my device.

I am on Win7, 32-bit on my lappy. Been doing updates every now and then with no problem. After transfer of file, just give it more time for the write to complete and undock via the "safe removal" icon. No problem to date.

Now a days, all my maps reside on SD card, which is strongly recommended due to the fact that any errors, corruption is easier to resolve vs maps that reside in main memory. Choice is yours :-'

Another advantage of storing maps in SD card, is that you can remove just the SD card from Nuvi and plug into your lappy to update.

with the past several models that is miserably equipped with rather low internal memory provided, I second the practical consideration to adapot utilizing the SD card instead which also facilitate greater flexibility such as amending and correcting errors and update additions like maps of various regions.
With a 64-bit lappy used to daily update my TomTom European maps and mobile/fix cameras regularly fed into the system at a frequency of about 3-mins, it sure does well with the speed & security from a higher bit OS.
