Garmin Nuvi 1250

i have a garmin nuvi 1250. i have updated the map. but from the beginning i brought this gps until now i cant view the icon when on the move. just can view the road. but when i view from top north up view , track up view & even 3d view also cannot view the icon . unless i stop the car , than only can view the icon. like example if i wanna goto DIGI centre, before i go i can see the icon in my gps before moving . but when start moving the icon is gone. totally can not view it anymore until you stop moving .

last time before i brought nuvi 1250, i got brought garmin nuvi 205 which is no junction view. but that one can view the icon even i on the move. so can i know how to make it visible to see the icon even on the move that time.

Newer Nuvi firmware restricts viewing of POI icon during navigation and view mode. Older Nuvis doe not have such restriction.

hmm? it's useless new feature..
better using old firmware, viewing POI while searching area is very important...
seeing map while driving is NOT dangerous, only tweaking while navigation is dangerous.
i think garmin copr was too eerie..

how to downgrade Nuvi?

Only way POI will show is in 80m zoom when your touch screen during movement or navigation.

Just try it at my friend Garmin nuvi 1250 (also hang - map conflict) and it work with:
1) Turn on nuvi
2) When Garmin logo have show - Press + hold right hand bottom screen
3) Once the Reset Menu pop-up - press yes
4) Wait turn off (automatic)
5) Then connect with usb to PC and delete one of mfm map

I also a Garmin 1250 new user, you can download custom poi & save it under x:/garmin/map/poi. at least it will alert with junction/intersection instead of traffic light icon.
