I deleted the gmapsupp.img (China map) and rename the 110404 map to gmapsupp.img. Then, how can I verify the 110404 map is successfully installed, i.e., how can I see/explore the 110404 map?
I selected "Tools" and then "explorer map", China map is still here, and there is a "base map" displayed on the lower-right corner. So ,I guess I need a Malaysia base map?
Ooo..boy... As I know, when you install mfm map, at the last part it will ask you weather you want to generate gmapsupp.img or not. If you click yes, it will create it with the option you choose. And if you connected your gps to pc it can copy it to your gps. And every thing should works fine.
To check, select tools --> Manage my data --> Mapsets --> MapSource. It will show the list of map install, the one with check on is active.
For the basemap, it is a world base map (routable or not depend what you have), not certain country. So it should be no problem with that.
For the China map that still appear even you have delete it (gmapsupp.img). This maybe other China Map is in "build-in maps" (ie gmapprom.img).
If you only want mfm map, then you should delete other img file(s) except gmapbmap.img and gmapsupp.img (mfm generated) in garmin folder.
Well.. good luck again.
Cheers

OK..Ok... now I got what you mean. Sorry for misunderstanding.
When you use Tools --> Browse map, and you see the word "base map" in the lower right mean that you are browsing the map using basemap (gmapbmap.img). All the country in the word is available including Chine, Taiwan, malaysia etc. So with this, if you want to know wheather the mfm malaysian map is install or not, is by zoom-in while in Malaysian map. (move the map until it shown malaysia map, clik a mouse on that malaysian map, doesn't matter which state it is, and click " + " button (lower right windows), if the word "base map" change to "detail map". Then your mfm map is Installed. (If you keep zoom-in, it should change from "base map" --> "detail map" --> "over zoom").
But when it suddenly change from "base map" to "overzoom", this mean the mfm map is not yet installed or selected.
To check wheather the mfm map is installed, select Tools --> manage My Data --> Map Sets --> MapSource. You should see "MFM-Garmin 110411" and make sure the check is on (/) before the name.
It should be there.
Hope this will help you out.
Cheers mate
