1. Whenever voice announcement of coming turn, very often the application just shutdown by itself.

2. The gps signal streaming fr the phone to papago software is laggy, meaning that my car starts to move from idle in front of traffic light, the position indicator of papago still not moving, the indicator only start to react after few 10 meters. This problem doesnt happens to GPS Status or GPS Test apps

3. Mine SGS is the very first batch which suffering the weak gps signal issue, together with the signal laggy issue, very often the position indicator go wild like no body's business

4. Currently my papago just sitting inside my SGS doing nothing, it just occupied my sd memory & totally redundant. To find a POI, google map works way better than papago, papago interface just simply not user friendly, yes even though google map POI not that "rich" compare to MFM map :)

5. It seems like papago developer do not show any commitment at all to improve the current SEA version, it's version 1.1 for a years already but no update at all.

6. Final word, my money :$gone:

Agree tt Papago user interface is badly designed. TomTom has a much better interface but only available on iphone atm.

As for poor gps signal, Samsung is notorious for tt. U can at least improve this by pairing with a bluetooth gps.

BTW, I have one 3790 which works great, and i bought this becoz of poor SGS-Papago

Ya, right now i have to use google maps, but its not the same as papago nagivation with voice with arrow, with distance left to reach destination/junction etc. Mine is htc desire hd, got apps "car panel", very cool navigation, but the problem is its also not support lat long searching. The POI also not as much as papago, i'am very dissapointed.

Re: Papago X5 . SG & MY for Samsung Galaxy S - Froyo 2.2

Postby amichael » Fri May 13, 2011 9:25 pm

This got to be a problem with your libpapago.so to overcome this problem you need to have the original libapapago.so that came with .apk installer.

Please use this link to get the full NAVISEA in ENGLISH..

PAPAGO! X5 Android for MY/SG (2010/Aug/06)- Support Android 2.1 & 2.2:

http://www.papago.com.tw/android/Download/install_SGMY_X5.htm

You must download all the 5 parts.. Extract it to your Galaxy Tab SD_CARD (Internal) and run the .apk included.

If you got a problem with the resolution just rename the folder 480X854 and 480X800 to 1024X600 and 600X1024 in all NAVISEA\ORGANIC folder including MY, CHT, EN and IND..

You'll run in trial mode. Done this first.. I've the libpapago.so for this.. PM me for details. Thanks.
If you can't beat them..

Go outside, preferably in an area with the open skies in view, and you should get a "1st initial sat lock" within a few minutes. You can also use GPS Status (free from Market) to get a fast lock before running X5.
