Yes and No.

No gmapsupp.img cannot be put in main memory /system folder
Yes it can be put in main memory buy in /map directory

Do this at your own RISK as Nuvi is VERY unforgiving to map file corruption. You risk bricking your Nuvi. :-'

I'm trying to install the latest MFM-Garmin-110627 into my Mapsource

but I encounter this error at the last step (almost finish).

See the attach.

Any solutions ?

Hi everyone,
i encountered the same problem as well, is there a solution for this?

==>> Found the solution, its the anti virus blocking the installation file midway thru the installation, once authorise the file, then installation is successful.

New Bird here.
Today i try put the latterst map into my pda with garmin XT.
This morning i try everything ok, can see the road and other but this evening verything lost already, what happen???
What i change back to old map, the road appear again.
How to solve this problem???

I have a Garmin Nuvi 1250.
I tried to put the gmapsupp.img into Garmin folder. Maps does not show. Kindly advise what might be wrong?

Read the quoted response in the first post on this page.....and if you still don't understand...read it again to see what is the difference in the steps you do and the responses in the post. Or go back a few more posts.....

i bought new 225w garmin from US with us n canada map preloaded...

how to install malaysia map to my garmin?
since im still a newbie in using gps...
can anyone provide step by step instruction on how to install malaysia map?
