Let me throw in my 2-sens worth.
it seems the "members" making noise about the maps updates are new "members"... may I ask what have you contributed to mfm? Are you aware of the history of mfm? The issues we went through to bring out the papago maps in the first place? The brouhaha that mfm went through when the "Founding Father" of mfm suddenly left with a few senior members?
Unless you know the sacrifices that all the senior members and valued contributors went through to bring the maps to members, then you will know how much we love our un-rewarded hobby. I, myself have kena saman a few times for speeding just to measure the lag on the PND at high speed. Who pays for all these? Why we do it? I won't answer this question for you but if you are a true-blue mfm member, you know the answer. But if you need to ask what the answer is, then you are just a taker, not a contributor.
If you don't like what is happening, you can go somewhere else. Nobody is forcing a gun to your head to stay in mfm.
Also unless you have solid and irrefutable evidence that the senior mappers and admin are paid and/or rewarded by the so-called BRAND, my advice to you is to refrain from making such suggestions as you can sue for defamation and slander.
You guys are barking up the wrong tree, go barked at Maction or M3Asia or whoever is withdrawing the complier from mfm.
BTW lesterdavid, are you the ex-"FOUNDING FATHER" of mfm, since you seem to know so much about mfm rules?
Anyway, I won't be responding to any replies unless it is from someone who have made a meaningful contribution to mfm. I don't want to waste precious bandwidth.
