Hi all,

I accidentally updated the MFM-PPG-110823C map into my Wayway Q4331.
Now that the GPS does not work any more. Anyone have any idea how to revert back to original map or update the
latest map for Wayaway Q4331?

I guess our devise still not updated to versin X8.5 yet.

You can try to download the previous version map that support your device and replace it with thte latest map.

Another better option is send your unit to Service Center for the software and map updates.

Yes and No...

It is definitely Free when you bring back your unit to our HQ for any updates. But it's also free when bring back to the shop or dealer where you purchased your device.

If you bring your unit to other dealers for the update, then they can/will charge you.

I have tried to download the map mfm-papago c10415a from Hotfile OR Shawty's Server, but now successful. This link either need to pay money or available.

One of my friends is already using the X5 android maps with his pirated M8 android (Taiwan) even before the X8 upgrade. Unless the M8 to be released here is different from the Taiwan M8, the X5SE can still use the X8 maps .

oh. okay. I guess have to suck thumb huh?

In late July early August, M3GPS/Maction announced the plan (indirectly through mfm) to replace all existing map formats by X8 without totally addressing all appliances and/or software. As such, there were frustrated customers voicing out their unhappiness in this forum especially in the first 3 weeks of September.
The unhappy voice almost and immediately died down when another Maction memo published (indirectly through mfm again) around Sept 20 which have addressed most of the outstanding questions raised.

This is the first time I saw M3GPS responding directly and positively on X8 map upgrade questions raised by our member (after so much hu ha). This is a very good move to answer their unhappy customers. This is a positive way to restore the dampened negative image perceived by their clients on this X8 Map upgrade.

Clients/users have the right to know their impact upfront on major action by any manufacturer.
Late better than never and hope this is just the beginning.
Guess there are still few outstanding questions need your addressing.

M3GPS and Maction, hope you can keep it up.
