Where is the sdcard directory?it's just directly at the drive I saw in "my computer" right. Removable disk

The cost of an SD card is cheap compared to the cost of your investment on the Nuvi. As a newbie we always recommend you to use the SD card for storage/frequent updates of maps.
Yes you can put it in main memory. Do take note that Nuvi is very unforgiving with any data corruption of map data and will refuse to bootup if this happens and you will be left with a brick or incur a very expensive service charge.
The choice is yours to make.
In your case, the garmin main memory does not accept map file name gmapsupp.img. You will have to put it into /map and rename it to whatever name you want.

In summary , am i right to say to buy a sdcard.
create a folder name Garmin
put the .img into the folder.

my 2465 and your 2465 different is only ONE FOLDER MISSING ( don't talk about files in your folders )
u need to CREATE a folder called MAP ...
create = right click mouse button > select NEW > select FOLDER
Folder Name = Map
place da gmapsupp.img generated by mfm in this folder.
lemme know if my steps is wrong .... lol ...
u can have multiple map in this GPS. but i only have ONE ( i don't need two , anyway ) ....

hi all senior,
I am having issue with my 1350.
I found that my old 205W has more and more POI compare to my new 1350 model.
I have included the latest 111107 map but still the same result.
I also found the directories/folders organization in 205W is diff than 1350.
Where can i get those POIs and where/how should i include in my 1350?
Example: i can see the Maybank logo in my 205W but i cant see it in my 1350 even i can see the Maybank name pop up when i manually point at that location. Why ya?
