Missing Icon

Good day to all the sifu's,
Did anybody solve the nuvi 2465 missing icon's problem while navigating? I have no problem on viewing map in normal condition, i can see all the icon's surrounding area but while navigating there are missing icon's. I have downloaded MFM 111114 map. There was no problem on my Nokia 6710. It work perfectly.......

Firmware limitation on newer generation Nubia to prevent screen clutter
GMXT on Nokia has no restriction

I tried updating my Garmin 2465 MY/SG from 2.6 to 2.8, files get copied but unit does not reboot automatically after i plug out the USB cable.

When I check the firmware version, it's still 2.6. Any advice?

guys, i'm having problem with my 2465. after searching for an address or selecting a favorite and when i touch the 'Go!' button, 75% of the times it took more than 60 seconds before it starts to calculate. During this time the 2465 just freeze.

Anyone else experience this? I'm using MFM. Not sure if the same will happen if i use MSM as i don't use it.

Wondering if my 2465 is faulty? and should be send for service.

Any help/comment is most welcome.

Any difference if you are using maps between the unit's and sdcard's? Maybe it's a sdcard problem? maybe a faster sdcard (class6 & above)?

no problem with sd card. i hv tried both putting the map in sd and on the device memory, and the same still happens.

Magnus hv u ever experience this with your 2465?

I experience this before. But i did a number of things, not sure which one actually solved the problem. :-k
1. Upgrade firmware to v3.0 via webupdater
2. Change to another sdcard
3. Disable bluetooth (tools/settings/bluetooth - disabled). My car have built-in bluetooth, so dont need this.
4. Disable voice command (tools/voice command)
5. Disable mytrends (tools/settings/navigation/automobile/nuroute/mytrends - disabled)
6. Reset mileage report in EcoRoute.

I found the following system info :

Software Version : 3.40
GPS Firmware : 2.60
===

However, if I go to mygarmin online to check 'myProducts' info page, i found that : Software Version Number is 2.80 .

So, which one is correct then?

Update your GPS firmware vis Garmin webupdater
