There seems to be problems with the release of Papago M8 by M3Asia. The following is posted in their website:

Android & Windows Mobile Versions
PAPAGO! M8 will be released to support compatible Android and Windows Mobile devices. PAPAGO! M8 maps for Android and Windows Mobile are compatible with PAPAGO! X8.5 version.

Only problem is "Where To Buy M8 For Android".... Papago is really screw up with this release as there are no mention of its Sales at all... #-o

I was told to wait for M9 for android - release end of this month.
So no point trying to hack the problems with installing M5 or M8. :x

I am tried of reading all the instructions and following them and then it doesnt work. :frus:
Better just wait or get a papago device... :-)

Try search "<deleted>" using google. Everything including installation instruction.

Do I have to pay for M8 MY/SG ver.? Cause i downloaded the Chinese ver. which is believe is Taiwan ver. for free in Market.

The 2 versions of M8 are not compatible - in terms of maps used. I got my M8 at the IT Show in Spore last year, but after that I found it was never officially launched in MY/SG. I guess M9 is the one to wait for.

    TW App: Free
    TW Map: Not Free
    TW App can use TW map? Y
    TW App can use MY/SG map? N

    MY/SG App: Not Free
    MY/SG Map: Free
    MY/SG App can use TW map? N
    MY/SG App can use MY/SG map? Y

Basically Papago does not want you to use the TW app in MY/SG. Otherwise how will they make money?
