MFM-Garmin Map (cGPSmapper) Installation Step-by-Step Guide

OK. You were right. Don't need Mapsource. I unzipped into a SD card (inserted directly into my PC usb slot). A Malfreemaps folder was auto created. What I found in the folder were a bunch of img files of which there is a gmappsupp.img file (which I know I have to use). But what about the other files many having been unzipped also like 60600000.img? Must they also be used or can I just focus on the gmapsupp.imh file?

There are also a MFM.img files and a MFM.MDX files among others.

You only need to use this one and only one file gmapsupp.img. Rest of files are for mapsource ( if installed )
Copy this into SD card/garmin directory

Hi there

It is the first time I am trying to use this site.
I have a Nuvi 1200 (purchased in SIngapore) which came with preloaded MFM and SLA map for Malaysia and Singapore as well as the USA.
After updating the OP-SW from the Garmin webpage my maps seem to be gone.
Now I try to reinstall the latest Malaysia and Singapore maps via my MAC > how do I have to go about to get the maps and be able t install them via my MAC?

Currently, MFM Garmin maps is ONLY install via PC, not MAC version available. You might want to ask your friend to download it and install in their machine, and copy the file over.

Hi - I also have a mac and find it so easy to use the parralles software so i can run windows also, People need to read the first one or two pages all the info they need are their, i just done upload and followed it to the letter and its cool full working new maps installed onto my nuvi1350.

I'm having a Nuvi 1350 and Mapsource 6.16.3 on my laptop.
The map pre-installed in Nuvi was dated 2010 so finally decided to update to the latest MFM 120326. Really appreciate the step by step instructions otherwise for sure will mess it up.

Download to laptop C:/Garmin/ was no problem.
Opted for install using Mapsource. Selected the mapset which end up with 34 maps of 202MB.

The tick box "Include route calculation data" is greyed out and cannot select but then saw the note in red to ignore and proceed.

Finally send map to device G: (SD card)

Works like a charm!
So next time I'm driving in Shah Alam my Nuvi can see the LAKSA hiway and in Seremban can also see LEKAS hiway.

Hi again,
After downloading the MFM 120326 map in Nuvi 1350, now it does not show the speed limit of the road that I'm travelling on.
Is that normal?
