"What are the choices that you chose while installing the map?"

My answer is..viewtopic.php?f=25&t=12991&start=20

I follow this Maps Installation viewtopic.php?f=28&t=662.
At the collum no 6 "Setup", i choose :-
[X]Full Custom (For Mapsource Display)"

Then Create MFM gmapsupp.img in the blue box, choose :-
[X] Include Miscellanous Buseiness Poi
[X] Include Road Poi
[X] Enable Custom icon display for nuvi 765, 1460, etc.

For "Map Display Customization" choose :-
[X] Custom polygon & Poi

Lastly copy to gps device in "MAP". Result is not all poi show when used this latest MFM-Garmin map.
Also do this option at my Garmin device Tool>Settings>Map>Map Detail choose :-
"Most" or "Normal" Result always the same.

Maps MFM-Garmin 120514 also got problem when i install it to my Garmin unit.
**Use Garmin nuvi 1350 My/Sg unit. Software V3.10.

Hemmm... where is my mistake during install the maps??

It seen like only 765 and 13xx and 14xx having this problem.

For nuvi models 765, 1xxx, 2xxx & 3xxx, there are 3 issues here:

1. POIs do not show when navigating -- Regardless of map compiler, no POIs are visible during navigation, until the zoom level is 80m or below. This is by design, as Garmin wants to have a clutter-free display during navigation.
   
   
2. Missing Customised POI Icons -- With cGPSmapper-compiled maps, an additional incompatibility means that we have to tick Enable custom icon display for Nuvi 765, 1460, etc. and even then the Customised POI Icons are only visible in the Map View, and not during Navigation.
   
   
3. Missing polygons or roads -- This is also a firmware-cGPSmapper issue. If we do not tick Exclude colored polygons during the gmapsupp.img setup, some roads will go missing as they are "covered" by some rogue polygons. So we have no choice, we have to tick Exclude colored polygons to ensure no roads are made invisible.

In conclusion,

if having full polygons and customised POI icons displayed is very important to you, use the MFM-Garmin NT map if you can bear the infrequent updates.

if seeing POIs during navigation is important to you, go get a nuvi 2x5; they don't suffer from these issues.

This color polygon issues only surface out around Jan 2012 map release.

I have a 2465 and it has all the problems above.

The polygon issue has existed a lot earlier than Jan 2012, just that some members didn't notice it in their area of the map before.

e.g:

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=11578

As far as I know, there is no firmware "fix" from Garmin. They will say that they have never supported cGPSmapper maps and have no obligation to address any issues faced by such maps. (Some people will say Garmin has purposely done this to cripple community based maps and enhance their own commercial maps, but we can only speculate.)
