hope this is the right place to ask....

how do i update thailand maps for my R6600 Papago X7?

1. i've used the M3 web updater (both versions, 1.2.1 n 2.0.1) but both said '... u hv latest map version' - the 100414, which is 2 yrs old!! bcoz i've seen there r the 120401 n 120501 versions, correct?

2. I've downloaded TH_120401_M_Z_M n tried to update but failed - is this the correct file?
3. I deleted the THAILAND folder n tried both the web updater - both said 'u hv the latest version' ?!? even after i deleted the folder??

4. I used the 1.2.1 to manually update from the downloaded folder but ran into memory space problem, can i use SD card, n how?

5. I've tried using the SD card n stored the map in sd:\maps\TH_120401_M_Z_M + the sd:\navi folder that came with it ; also tried sd:\navi\maps\.... , still no success!

can anyone help?

For your info, Web Updater version 1.2.1 is no more functioning and it is not available to be downladed. Because it will crash with the latest version.

As for WebUpdater version 2.0.0 and above will only work for the latest versions which are PAPAGO! x9, M3GPS x8.5 and also PAPAGO! One.

In-order for your PAPAGO! R6600 to be upgraded to x9, you have to bring the unit over to our showroom for upgrade. It is FREE.

Hi M3gps,

I've started using the M9 with the latest MFM map (MFM-PPG-X8.5-X9-120503), i now encounter other problem.

1st, sometimes the M9 is unresponsive when i launch it. when i click open M9, it lots to the black screen and on the notification bar displaying a small M9 logo with "Papago! Initial...". Except that the splash screen never comes out and my phone display "Papago is unresponsive" with the option Wait or OK to close the app. out of so many times that i click open, i would say 50% times it happens.

2nd, when i've successfully entered papago, while it is still searching for satellites, i selected a destination to GO. then after it read out satellite search completed, it shows me somewhere in a jungle of Pahang, whereas at the moment i was inside KL. so i ended route, exited papago, and click open papago again. this time, i didn't set a destination for it to route. after a while, it got satellite lock, and is showing me at the correct position in KL. when i started driving, it follows my movement just like normal, no problem. then, i set a destination to GO again, after it finish calculating, the papago straight away jump me to a national park in Pahang. i've tried many times and it always jump me to Pahang, different location of Pahang. but i'm at KL ! i'll PM to you the screen shot of my phone of the papago M9's new System Status with status is a green tick and the timestamp, where on this moment i was at this coordinates, and the next moment i'm at a coordinates differ by a whole Minute!!

while it has jumped me to Pahang, it still showing my speed correctly, as it changes correctly to my driving speed.

Hopefully i provide enough info for you on the 2nd matter.
My phone is Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S running official Android 4.0.3

Just went to M3asia office today at Phileo something to try to get the problem solved. I went to the location using PapagoX5, since i'm not local to KL, i don't know the way (and since M9 is NOT WORKING, i've to use back X5). I keep 2 different NaviSEA folder inside my sd card for this reason, X5 and M9's map is not compatible. So when i'm using X5, i rename X5 folder as 'NaviSEA' and M9's as 'NaviSEA m9'. when i'm testing M9, i rename the X5 folder as 'NaviSEA x5' and M9's as 'NaviSEA'.

First the technician come out, then i explain the problem, then he take my phone inside into his office. I felt very uncomfortable letting a stranger holding my phone without my eyes on it, mostly concerned about my private information. So i ask the technician to come back out to see if he can do it at the waiting area. He said can't, because he don't have a laptop and he has to use the PC inside the office. fine, since i desperately want a working M9, i let him continue, while worrying and hoping he don't mess around with my phone. Please provide your technician with laptops. -small frustrated-

Then, after some 15-20 mins, he came out with the phone, so we go outside of the building to test it. Okay it seems to work, the M9 is not jumping me to Pahang. I asked him what did he do, he said he installed with the new Papago M9 0508.apk. so i thought yeah, maybe problem fixed. so i said thanks, go pay the autopay, and go get my car. Then, i wanted to use the M9 to get home. After i drive for a small distance (stilll within the Phileo something complex), the M9 jumps me to Pahang again. so i stop by the roadside, turn off M9, restart M9, initiate a route, try different end location, all NOT WORKING. still jumps me to Pahang. So i step out from my car and go back inside M3's office. -medium frustrated-

The technician come out again, then i invited him outside to demonstrate the problem to him. then he said, maybe he try the older map. i doubt that would work but i let him do it anyway. so he took my phone inside into his office (again). after 20-30 mins, he come out, he said he loaded with March map (its MFM-PPG-X8.5-X9-120306). So we tried, same problem, still jumps to pahang, its NOT WORKING. he tried a few times, still is NOT WORKING. he then ask me if i can visit the office during week days, he said the developer will be here. Saturday only the show room is open. (hey i came here on saturday because on weekday i'm working, there's no way i've time to come here!) at this point i sense that there's nothing elses that he can do, so i decided to just leave. -very frustrated-

Then i've to pay the autopay again, because the grace period is already out, nevermind. then, i go out from the Phileo something complex, and stop by the side before i hit the highway. i want to use the X5 to take me home. i open up my astro file manager, wanted to rename the NaviSEA folder for X5, then, i found that the X5 folder is GONE. G-O-N-E !! apparently the technician thought that it could disturb the M9 and deleted my whole X5 map folder, my X5 favourite POI, all GONE. This is the point where i get SUPER DUPER FRUSTRATED and decided that i will speak out that PAPAGO M9 IS NOT WORKING. I'm 'Stranded' with a non-working M9 (latest 0508 version), and a X5 with no map data. luckily after a few u-turns and wrong toll booth, i'm back home, and hence this angry review.

well i don't blame that M3's technician for all this, he's very polite and is doing fine. i'm only frustrated about PAPAGO M9. I hope the M3's developer will read this, i hope Maction will read this, and i hope all those who prepared to buy M9 will read this.

Not solve FC, just solved GPS accuracy shifting 100KM / haywire!

Turn off mobile network / Data network while navigate!

I went to the main office today for the upgrade.
I switched on the gps and the screen started flickering and after that it would not boot anymore.
Now it is stuck showing the wayway logo only.
What is the solution?
