the official numbers attracted my attention initially but when I did my own mbers for comparison, it has some critical data left out. Even if I were to built the solar panels myself (assuming I have acquired the technology) which can easily half the cost and hacking an frequency inverted which I have the technology. This will only bring down the capital investment cost but not the running cost. The numbers are still difficult to break even when I put in maintenance cost of the cells and power supply.
The six years given is too conservative. Even if it is usable, how will the repair an maintenance cost get factored into its IRR.
If any of you have climb your roof and see what damage is up there (only the roof tiles) after 10 years you will know what I am talking about.
BTW you forget to include HAZE days. That is one big additional loss.
So how honest are the official numbers given or is it another make me rich fast project? The official IRR given is just too good to be true.

From what I know,
a company offering 4kW solar panel system for RM40k (all-in price). Using China equipment with 10 yrs warranty on equipment.
4kW system can provide 14kWh of electricity on average sunny day. 14kWh x RM1.49/kWh = RM20.86 for a day.

The RM1.49/kWh is the price for SEDA to pay installer.
What ever charged by TNB is strictly between user and TNB and do not mix with solar panel generation payment.
BTW, we are paying 1% tenaga boleh diperbarui on top of our electricity bill if we consumed more than 300kWh. The 1% surcharge is to pay solar panel installer and other renewable energy installers.

It's true but now SEDA stopped receiving application until further notice. My application is still at installer company hand.
