Activating Hidden 1-second Tracklog Function In Nuvi 2xx

hai geng..here i've some problem with my tracklog....past 2 week...i was successful patching my nuvi 200w...and i was trying use wNutrak.exe and got beautiful result..then i deleted 3 folder inside Logs folder..but then when i record the track again...and see at my pc..no sub folder inside Logs folder...and i try to deleted logs folder..and re-patching again...the try to record track and goes to see at my pc..no Logs folder, no sub folder..have try many time...why..anybody can help me...

Successfully patched my Nuvi200W USA Version 4.00 without any glitches. All running fine. Used step 3 to update.

I can do tracking now. My first attempt shall be the new UPSI college campus in Tanjung Malim.....

Hi Bro Jason, many thanks for your patience in guiding me step-by-step. My nuvi200 successfully updated to have tracking function now. My unit HWID shld be 0834, not 0660 as stated inside GarminDevice.xml file.

Now we all learn something that the GarminDevice.xml file may not be reliable to show your true HWID. So my Russian friend's suspicion was correct.

Anything is possible. Remember Murphy's Law? Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

I don't know how but it is possible to be human error. Can you be sure that the GPS you buy came straight from the factory untouched by any human hands in between? No you can't. If you bought your unit locally, didn't somebody connect it to the PC to load in a map for you? Is it not possible for the original GarminDevice.xml be accidentally deleted then replaced by the wrong GarminDevice.xml (especially if the person does not know what the file is for and all GarminDevice.xml have the same name and file size)? Of course anything is possible.

Good thing is we now have learnt another way to determine the unit's HWID.

Your problem is really puzzling. I have always moved the sub-folders in the Logs folder to my PC first before running wNutrak and this is the same as deleting the sub-folders. Never faced any problems nor expect any problem can arise by deleting the sub-folders.

To trouble-shoot, can you first delete your GUPDATE.GCD file.

Next try to check your HWID again using the g7towin method and give me as much info as you can about your unit and sw versions.

We will try to figure it out.

i tried check GUPDATE.GCD file, but not found this file....just found 2 .GCD format 006B068000.GCD and 006B073300.GCD at Garmin/RemoteSW..is that correct ways to do...

I have the same 2 files too so I don't think they are the cause of problems. Anyway in the same folder, there is one more binary file - 006B047800.bin and both the 006B068000.GCD and the 006B047800.bin files have the same modified date which is the date I patched my Nuvi. What about yours?

i think both us are same file locate in nuvis...my opinion, this file may not cause of this problem..here i attach my nuvi info include details of HWID..maybe u can help me to fix this problem...
