and MFM is absolutely fantastic, it is free !!

You no longer need to be a PC geek to be able to hack and crack protected software like the locked MSM maps. There are even software available to do the cracking (and unlocking) painlessly (and almost automatically). Locking only work on ordinary people like us but not on people who earn a living pirating the software.

Yes, MFM maps are totally free but retailers don't seem to want to load MFM maps. Perhaps it was because Singapore was not included until recently or is not yet up to the level of detail of MSM maps. Perhaps it is not a forbidden fruit so the covet factor is not there. I guess all this will soon change.

Bro,

Firmware version 5.00 doesn't seem to apply to Nuvi 2x5 models (205, 255, etc) but only Nuvi 2x0 models (250, 260, 200?).
See here http://www.gpspassion.com/forumsen/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=117658

But I can't confirm if its true. Anyone knows for sure?

Thanks

Edit: My mistake. I saw at another forum which says there is a Nuvi 205 version 5.00 update. Here's the change history:
Change History
Changes made from version 4.80 to 5.00:
Improvements in MSN Flight Status support.
Improvements in ecoRoute support.
Improved SD card handling.
Corrected occasional issues with route line display.
Corrected how Asian languages are displayed.
Improved routing in some circumstances.
Improved Bluetooth Phone Book handling on supported units.
