Like if you approach a POI with the speed limit of 110km/h.Instead of making noise,it should say "ding! ding! 110km/h".That way it will reduce the needs to look at the gps to know the speed limit.

stratman2 wrote:b. Some speed trap waypoints that do not have the speed limit in the comments field are assumed as follows:

- 110km/h on interstate expressways (e.g PLUS, ECE)
- 80 km/h on city expressways
- 90 km/h on trunk roads

Plus Highway from Ayer Keroh Exit to Alor Gajah Exit is 90km/h
Plus Highway from Bangi Exit to Sungai Besi Toll Plaza is 90km/h

Thanks for your inputs, bro Feiming. :good:

No problem. To get voice saying 110km/h i think u can use voice editor and join up the vpm's voice.

FYI, custom POI sounds don't work that way, bro Feiming. It has nothing to do with the VPM files and they are incompatible with one another. :|

i mean was to extract the wav sound in vpm and join them up.like u have hundred voice and ten voice in vpm.so can join into a wav that says "hundred ten kilometers" but no per and hour.

Hi
I live around this area and i use this road very frequently. I believe this trap is non-existent as i have never come across it before. Does anyone else have a different opinion?

I seldom drive towards Sri Hartamas using the Sprint expressway but on only one occasion (night time), I noticed a police speed trap in operation. That was probably a few years ago and have not encountered any ever since.

Personally, I'm not much in favor of speed trap and road block cPOIs because there is no absolute pattern of the police conducting such operations. At least red light cameras are fixed points and they mostly operate 24 by 7. :-#

There are 2 legit speed traps along that highway. One is under the bridge (both ways) and another at Kiara Equestrian side heading towards Mont Kiara. The cops normally stop you a few hundred metres after that (road block?) so over-enthusiastic members might be reporting inaccurate traps/road blocks. There are no traps itself near the intersection cos there's no way to stop you and people generally slow approaching intersections already.

Not sure if your speed traps are the same as those from MSM. I'd like to try out yours with MFM so im starting to migrate over with maps first then POIs. I'll post with proper coords and/or related files.

ps - are the POIs from MSM usable on MFM maps or vice versa?

bro stratman2,
:tq: :good:

I have recently tried on my newly bought Nuvi 760. The powerful male voice alert really scares me off....

I notice that it doesn't cover the Speed camera and Speed traps in Sg. Is it okay to include the Sg POIs? I still have the old compilation on these POIs. Do let me know if okay, I will post it here...

New waypoint updates will certainly be most welcome, bro Bimmer. =D>

I have both MFM and MSM in my Nuvi 310 but only keep the East Malaysia map tiles from MSM. My cPOIs are now entirely based on MFM maps. It's possible to use the cPOIs that I've done with MSM v2.30, but some POIs may give you unintended alerts due to track mapping and naming differences between the two maps.

Please PM me regarding the SG POIs as there are some issues I need to resolve, especially red light camera POIs.

Thanks bro Pauchai. O:)
