try encoding with http://www.tinyurl.com

An example

Turn this URL:

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?ovi=1&mqma
p.x=300&mqmap.y=75&mapdata=%252bKZmeiIh6N%252bI

252bT9Su5KoQ9YpNSj%252bmo0h0aEK%252bofj3f6vCP

into this tinyURL:

http://tinyurl.com/6

Which one would you rather cut and paste into your browser? That's the power of TinyURL!

p.s read before they are deleted

Does it mean that anyone who has the "not-locked" (eg pre v2) maps and uses it to create "new" maps by adding routing nodes etc will automatically become "owner" of the .mp file he created? - because the tracks/routes/pois are "community owned".

Is there any restriction from starting to create maps from the non-locked .img files rather than the .gdb files. Because the .img (not locked) is technically a collection of gdb tracks. This collection belongs to the community per above links.

copyright is a complex beast....

imantulen, don put over there..., put in ur signature in here  or u can be kill by sharp-shooter

About signature:
Leave that signature to user. They must have thier own expression and sometime show thier personalities under that signature. That user trade mark :) . This personal trade mark or signature has been used in any community service becoz thier perfection shown user personality  .

But, I suggest  , Anthony should play auto or everyday tips or slogans under MFM logo and change in every 1 weeks .. or any suitable period of time. This tips covers mapping or any slogans or anything laaa :D

I am philosophical about this....

If you are not doing the right thing, your support will wane. You can try various ways to prevent members leaving but it will be futile. Censoring posts and PMs are direct intervention to our freedom of speech. This was the decision taken by the MSM leadership. Let them deal with the consequences.

If you are doing the right thing and people appreciate what you do, they will support you. Others who are unfortunate not to be aware of us at this time will find us eventually (with our members' help :D )

p.s. no need to use MSM signature lah...Give the MSM mods and councilors some peace :)

Just leave them alone. Time will tell. Let it be as is. Do what you loves MOST - mapping :peace:
