I'll try to come out with the next update this week, bro tlchuan.

Not much POIs to update anyway, but I'll have to change the announcement alerts to speak out the speed limit. This part takes more effort than mere POI updates.

I have recently tried on my newly bought Nuvi 760. The powerful male voice alert really scares me off....![]()
I notice that it doesn't cover the Speed camera and Speed traps in Sg. Is it okay to include the Sg POIs? I still have the old compilation on these POIs. Do let me know if okay, I will post it here...
Please PM me regarding the SG POIs as there are some issues I need to resolve, especially red light camera POIs.
Thanks bro Pauchai.
Ok , already PM you the Speedtraps POIs in Sg. Will compile the Redlight camera POIs and PM you later.

Speed trap cPOIs without voice
Bro Stratman2,
Very much appreciate your massive efforts to compile cPOIs. and an incredible job by adding custom voice alerts.
Not to sound unappreciative but is it possible so have an edition without the custom voices? It makes for really uncomfortable conversation with boss or mother-in-law in the car and the garmin booms "you are approaching a police speed trap zone". I do miss the old "ding, ding".
I guess on some units you can disable the voice alerts, but i cannot find that feature on my nuvi 200 indo. it's seems to be either the voice or no proxi alerts at all. If i'm wrong, somebody please let me know and i'll stand corrected.
Bro feiming post his railroad crossing POIs in .gpi, ,gpb and .gpx which is great coz i can use garmin's POI uploader to send to device with or without proximity alert.
However, i see problem with speed trap POIs coz diff poi's have diff speeds. That's why would appreciate if you could also release a "ding, ding" edition also.
Forgive my noobness if all my questions are irrelavent or if a solution already exist.
Thanks and keep up the great work.

Point taken, brother Clay. My cPOIs were originally made for my own personal use but I decided to share it with other Garmin users in this forum. I'm not a mapper but just one of the regular contributors who makes custom POIs as a hobby, in my own time. Therefore I'm not obligated to attend to "complaints" although I welcome error corrections/additions to POIs.
Unfortunately I cannot please everyone.

Therefore depending on how you look at it (think of the half-full/half-empty glass analogy) either your Nuvi's voices are too soft or my cPOI announcements are too loud. Then again, if your Nuvi has a voice that's louder than my voice clips, you'll have to turn down your volume, right? The result? Your turn prompt volume is just fine for you - but you'll also feedback to me that my alert volumes are too soft.
I use custom celebrity voices for my Nuvi and I tweak my cPOI alerts to match their loudness. So what would be "just right" for me, would be "too loud" for you. Then again, what's "just right" for you might be "too soft" for others. Then there's also another factor - how quiet or loud your car's interior is. Obviously again, people who listen to their car stereo loud will need louder alert voices to compensate. I hope you see where I'm getting at.

However, you can start off with the latest update of the Redlight Camera version 1.5 - you now have a "voice-less" version.

FYI, your Nuvi 200W unit is equipped with a built-in the "ding ding" sound, but will not play if the cPOI file has an embedded audio clip. Beginning from now, I will release an additional voice-less version for my subsequent updates. You will hear just "ding ding" and nothing else.

cheers,
Stratman II
