If I am not mistaken china maps are made with a different co-ordinate system and unless your device allows you to switch the system then sorry guys the offset will always be there. Hope this helps. This is as far as I know.

Hi,

Not sure why this issue is still confounding so many people. If you read the instruction in the Garmin site on the China NT map, you can see that the map is meant only for nuvis.

If you use the map with the nuvis, you will not have the offset problem. However, if you use it with Garmin GPS other than nuvis, you will have the offset problem.

I have used the map with the nuvi and with the 60 CSx in China. The nuvi does not suffer the offset problem. Everything is as where it should be. The 60 CSx showed me standing on a lake when I was standing beside the lake.

downloaded, installed and tried. as usual, no 'visual' difference, nor instability.
may be ther are other improvement, got to try a few days ...

I have this problem on my Oregon..

When I key in address >Cempedak > sentul, KL > GO

It show my place in Johor..
Tried that many time.. on the new version 2.8
It never happen when I was using v2.6

Any oregon pls confirm this on your set?

Alyem,

The Oregon is asking you to pay me a visit :lol:. It's best to wait for the official release than try it in Beta form. You will open yourself to possible hiccups.
