It was common on GMXT v5 US once you change to Taiwan version. The only way it to installed backed your previous GMXT. it you save my favarite still there. Saved in Mapsource. Then you installed back this 5.00.30TW. Used mapsource to transfer back. hope it worked for you.

felt this new version TTFF (Time To First Fix) improved a lot.

cold start less than 1 min after pda reset
hot start fix in 2 sec

any one hv try route recalculation? is it improved?

In fact I was using DFU_HMD.TTF and renamed to Chinese.ttf. It worked well on Chinese and Thai version.
By renamed it to Thai.ttf, and I can have the Thai version as well. Also refer to my first post.
DFU_HMD.TTF in order for GMXT to support Chinese(simplified&traditional), Japanese, korean, Vietnamese, & Thai, total 6 fonts

Hi guys,

Did I do anything wrong? Edit this file in Notepad and then click "save". Copy the chinese.ttf to font.
On my i900 and encountered Re-insert SD card.
Pls help.

On your PC, highlighted this file, right click property. If you see gmsup.txt. Just deleted the text, OK. This file will be without txt. copy back into device\Garmin folder, voila.
On my office when I saved it alway gave me gmsup.txt.
Your font folder need Chinese.ttf else also prompted you "Please re-insert SD card". You can downloaded in the first post.

Used the file size about 7.794MB. I just encountered the 10mb Chinese.ttf have this problem on my China WM5 phone but without any problem on my Samsung Omnia. Now attached three version of GMSUP, unrared one of the file. _th for Thai, _tw for Taiwan and _ch for China.
Which Phone are you using?

Which PDA are you using?
This problem was a trouble maker to me on the past.
you need
1) Chinese.ttf(7.794mb) in SD card\Garmin\font folder which can be downloaded from the first post.
2) gmsup, I just uploaded in the post above. Tried move to device\Garmin folder.
It should worked for you.
Normally gmsup was came with the installed programme only without the Chinese.ttf. Easily get from those Symbian Taiwan version.
