Re: Klang & Port Klang Tracks
Sorry guys, I would like to report a routing issue with MFM v1.52 but I do not have mapsource so if any other GPS owner with mapsource (for reporting) who are free may take these routes and report the routing issues in the right format acceptable to MFM to make the correction.
Routing problem 1:
Kesas route to Pulau Ketam Jeti
Routing problem starts after you have passed Telok Gong x Kesas junction towards Pulau Ketam Jeti in Port Klang. After the Telok Gong x Kesas junction about 300 meters in front, make a left turn into Westport/Northport Highway.
At the Westport/Northport Hwy further up, there is a split road junction at N2.99043 E101.40498, the correct turning at this split road should be to take the left turn into Jalan Kem but the GPS tells you to keep right. If you take the ‘keep right’ road you will be above the turn into Pulau Ketam Jeti (N3.00141 E101.39652) since the ‘keep right’ road is a flyover above the junction turning into the Pulau Ketam Jeti.
Routing problem 2:
Jln Sg Beranang 32/52, Bukit Rimau, Shah Alam turning into Jalan Sg Ramal 32/53
Once you pass the Bukit Rimau Guardhouse (Jln Sg Beranang), you can/should make a left turn into Sg. Ramal 32/53 (N2.99013 E101.52884) at the first left turning junction about 100 meters from the Guardhouse since you are on the same side of the road.
However, the GPS tells you to go further up and make a ‘U’ turn at the roundabout. This means that you will now be on the other side of the road making a turn into Jln Sg Ramal 32/53.
The correct route should be to take the 1st LEFT turn into Jln Sg. Ramal 32/53 instead of using the roundabout.
Sorry for not reporting these in the correct format but I am using a low end GPS but wants to do my part to assist in reporting any errors. Hopefully, some kind mappers/GPS owners can assist here to report these in the proper format.
Many thanks!

Re: Klang & Port Klang Tracks
From Westport-Northport Hwy (see crosshair in screenshot attached) wanting to go to Bukit Rimau, Shah Alam. the best and nearest route to take is the Kesas Hwy. However, the GPS (MFM v1.52 map) keeps trying to direct you a 'U' turn at crosshair location to take the Federal Hwy.
Just downloaded Mapsource and trying to figure out how to report errors and best route. Sorry if I am not ddoing it properly :-).

Hi caritempat,
Are both shorter distance and faster time option giving you same result?

Re: Klang & Port Klang Tracks
Good question. I am on 'Faster time' option. I can also safely say that at where I was in the crosshair, my distance to Bukit Rimau should be nearer via Kesas than via Federal Highway. When I was using MSM v2.30b previously, the GPS routed me via the Kesas way with my GPS unit unchanged at 'Faster Time' option.
Appreciate if someone could please check it out. Thanks!

Re: Klang & Port Klang Tracks
Sorry I did not answer your question earlier. I dont know. I only experienced this while I was on 'Faster Time' option. Had never tried 'Shorter Distance'. Hope this helps.
