did you try to lock position on the Sats Bar view?
Have you open the slide when using GMXT?

PLS READ THIS***

TO ALL N95 classic users, I've all the while been having problems with long GPS signal locking on this phone even with A-GPS switched on in 'GPS Data'. And I'm dead sure I've a 3g network for downloading data but it don't seem to do much difference...

FINALLY i realized how to activate the TRUE A-GPS on the N95, instead of doing it AT GPS DATA, GO TO 'Settings>General>Positioning>Positioning Methods>there u go select A-GPS'

Seriously doing this way on top of activating the one at the GPS DATA section will certainly activate the true A-GPS potential of the N95

And AFTER doing this, it took me less than 10secs each time to logon to the satelite even from A COLD START (1st logon ATTEMPT on start up of phone)
Jz for yr info, I' using celcom 3g...
JUST TRY IT...IT REALLY WORK LIKE NOTHING for me...and i'm a frequent user if GMXT on my N95...

have a nice day and good luck trying out
