Have omitted buildings and road divider but for now will be sufficient for the first test.

What is interesting is the image size. Original image was 448 x 336, 92K new image is 495 x 376, 17K. I would expect the image to increase in size with more detail put in but still will be much smaller overall.

Great Job Bro Chinway, I've snapped additional photos on the way home just now, I think others members will find eddicted to snap junction view photo once started....my personal experience.

Based on photo snapping experiences from these two days. I think junction views photos will have two main catogeries. I noticed normally the signboard distance is far from actual junction(Understandable  ), we actually can't have clear view of both. Either we select Signboard view or Junction View as attached below. Unless we can hybrid the two using some graphic tools. Is it possible Bro Chinway? :prayer: :prayer:

No lah... :D .
I am noticed that they are not use the capture image to make conversion to junction view picture.
but they did drawing it base on the picture.
just curious, what photo software are they using for drawing the junction view.

I noticed that photographer enthusiast in the 'other' forum talks about using software rendering to create effect on photographs. Perhaps some of you might know these guys personally to pose the question. :-k

You can easily superimpose the two images to get a big picture. I have seen it done in some junction view images posted.

As for raster or vector, I recommend vector as it is scalable and details can always be put in later on if needed without having to worry too much. The are lots of vector programs you can use and some are quite easy operate. Only quesiton is the format - dxf or emf ( may be jumping the gun here).

How much detail is the million dollar question. Do we need all that detail down to the reflector on the pillar on the leaves on the trees? Nice but can you see it while driving? Propably SWMBO sitting next to you will.

I use CorelDRAW to do this.

Nice!

But I don't think we should worry about signboards. They may look nice on our LCD screens now but once resized into the 4.3" display plus viewed by the drive from a distance, the words will not be seen clearly.
