Only China Garmin sets sold there have the firmware to "compensate" for this offset.

Offset by 300-400 meters... :-#

Did anyone notice the size of China that is several times larger than Malaysia & SGP put together?
Brudder SB, any way to compress China in this case? I mean the maps la... :tease: :-'

Bro Cruiser, FYI, the China City Navigator Maps in microSD size is a whopping 265M and that covers only most of major cities only. Imagine the size if it covers every province, city, town, village, shack ....

The bad thing about the Garmin China map is that you need a China sold Nuvi or GPS set as it has the firmware to compensate for the offset which could be as big as 400 meters

Can I know which Nuvi version can do tracking?
I am now having a Nuvi 200, I understand that if I change the firmware to version 3.40 I can have it, but the question is that I do have my USA map in it. What will happen to the US map once I upgrade the firmware? please help. Found out there are some new road in a new hosing area that which I can contribute.
Note. Currently I do have MSM and USA map in my Nuvi 200.

A trip log and a track log are two different things. A trip log records where u've been according to the road (it locks on to the road).. a track log records where u've been according to ur actual gps location, this is the proper tracking feature that u want to use.

yes you are right...but some how i've managed to use it to track new roads though the track is not the ideal 1st second interval :)

The 205W trip log is a joke, and I would gladly do without it. That feature can't be turn off, you can only hide it. So when you switch to "SHOW", all the loggings will be display even for the period it was "HIDE".

Only the handhelds have proper trip log features where it can enable whenever you want, and these tracks can be individually saved or deleted, and even color coded to differentiate from other tracks.
Contribute exclusively to MFM. MSM don't get it !

Past trip logs can be cleared. Go to tools-mydata-clear trip log and all past logs will be gone.
