Shouldn't the height size be a lot smaller than the max 272 pixels. I set mine to 212 pixels and the splash screen fits the width (480 pixels) correctly. Otherwise, the image will be reduced propotionately to fit the reduced height.

Just for information.
I have a Nuvi660 and I have made my splash screen from a sunset picture that I took in Indonesia and I used 480x272. It fits okay.
Now I wonder if other Nuvis are not the same.

I think this only affects newer Nuvis, ie. Nuvi2xx, Nuvi7xx.
