My Trip to Penang and Ipoh June 2009

Went to Penang and Ipoh from 5 June to 10 June 2009. We start our journey at 10.30pm and reach Penang at about 8.30am 6th June and have our breakfast at a coffee shop (N5 24.263 E100 17.194 ). We hace Prawn noodle, Curry noodle, wan tan noodle, 'apon', toast & eggs and hot/cold drinks.

Below are the saved Track will post some pictures later.
Note: Accidentally erase the track from sin to perak. ](*,) About 8 hours worth of track. :(

The first place we went is the Air Itam Dam when we reach Penang After Breakfast.
After the Dam, we when to the Kek Lok Si Temple just below the Dam.

After Air Itam and kek lok si temple. Went to check-in to our hotel (Tune Hotel, downtwn penang)which booked on line. Its sort of a budget hotel which have only bed, toilet (no lock), and fan. No tv & phone. Air-con have to pay for 12 hours useage (RM13+), 24 hours useage (RM23+), towel RM5 and hairdryer (RM1) perday. Total bills for this hotel is About RM150 for 2 nights. (N5 25.175 E100 19.631)

Beside the hotel is New World Park which has Old Town Coffee, Starbuck, Guardian and many other shop. And there is also a non-aircon food court whic serve a veraity of local foods.

Boardband free (30 min per access) at the lobby.

Later in the evening ( after resting in our hotel ), we went to the Penang Hill.

1. The tram going up the Hill leaving the station behind.
2. This man is bags of harvested Red Chili into the Tram Cart to be carry down the hill.
3. The overview of Georgetown in the evening light. (Abit hazy though ).

Day 2, went to Kalit Beach to see the beach activities but didn't stay long cause too hot..

Went to Tlk Bahang Recreation Forest and find that lots of families went there for a dip in the stream.

Had Dinner at one of the Hawker Street ( Baru (New LN), L) ( N5 24.894 E100 19.594).

Stay at Tune Hotel(Budget hotel), Downtown Penang. This ''Thing' will control my Aircon And Hair Dry only if I buy the 'Time". Now Everythings is off because had use-up all the 'Time' of usage.

We check-in immediately into Impiana Casuarina Hotel when reach Ipoh.
Book this hotel online for RM355 for 2 night ( without breakfast ).

After Check-in, we headed to 'The Lost World of Tambun' cause the children had wanted to go there since we reach Ipoh.

The first night in Ipoh, we went to Onn Kee for our Tauge Ayam Kuetiau.

Including four drinks, RM36+
