I stumbled on this unpleasant problem with 7x5T in gpspassion.

Anyone here with the similar problem ? The timebomb code theory do sound logic... :) but.. .we will see.

My unit is dead....Could not power on after receiving "on the air" update while commuting from home to office yesterday morning.
A message prompt & satellite signal went off & screen freezes. Turn off unit and unable to power up it back.....Now waiting for solution from Garmin since this involve most of 7x5 communities....**** GARMIN!! :fire:

I am using 755T US with v2.50 TWN firmware, and until today no problem yet. So, I think 765 Mal/sing also safe for time being. Or. I might be wrong. I removed the gps update firmware, based on gpspassion's ZergZak recommendation. Please do if you have time. Read the www.gpspassion.com . top story.

So, you can ask for the replacement from your seller or open it up and remove battery cable for a minute. And after that, switch it off, and connect to your PC. Remove all files in Garmin_drive:\Garmin\RemoteSW

TQ.

p/s: The v2.50 TWN in is my 755T still alive.

Bahatir,

Thanks for your patience in browsing the passion forum.. :D ...I open my unit...unplug the battery connection and left it for a minute or two....Walla....managed to "unbrick" my units....now instead of removing the files as suggested, i'm easternizing my unit for precaution on another attack.....

Thanks for the assistance and i've pm you on additional request.

Regards,
Ianazlan
