just buy la :-'
the low mode is low enough for you to read a book at night without disturbing your spouse and low enough to read a hard copy map
And also for emergency use such as this scenario - http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/sho ... p?t=235203

LEDs like the Lumileds K2 Luxeon is guaranteed to last 100K hrs, so giving a 50K hrs warranty is nothing. What kind of battery it uses and if rechargeable is the charger included?.... cheers!

The FP2D Q5 uses one 3V CR123A battery (Lithium) while the L2D Q5 uses two 1.5V AA ( Alkaline, Ni-MH, or Lithium )

- the efficiency of the driver (long runtime with a pair of AA cell )
- brighter than a stock maglite 2d.
- and much2 smaller than a dolphin torchlight.
- HA type III anodizing.
- the emitter last for 50K hours and much2 more robust and efficient VS Lumileds K2 TFFC despite the K2 TFFC last 100K hours but cannot beat the Cree LED brightness.
- The head section of these 2 is lego-able P2D head on L2D body vice versa.
- plenty of modes VS the cheapo flashlight.
- finally these 2 are not expensive compare the new ones.
- these are made in China as well but when compare between this one and the generic China LED flashlight, this one has the best tint compare the generic ones which is almost the entire flashlight that you can buy by the roadside blue in tint
