i'm not trying to combine both maps...i still have 2 separate maps, MSM as gmapsupp.img and MFM as gmapsup1.img..so inthe GMXT map set i can choose which map to use, the base map, MFM or MSM, but somehow i can view MSM but not MFM? thanks!

What MXT are you using? As far as Symbian MXT concern, its only support the following img files :
1) gmapbmap.img
2) gmapprom.img
3) gmapsupp.img
4) gmapsup2.img.

I have no idea whether WM MXT support gmapsup1.img. Please also refer to this Link for more information.

Had that address search problem too on my TyTN II but using MSM instead... Would be related to GMXT v5... I went back to v4 instead...

Update version 5.00.20 now available at Garmin webpage or click download link below :)

Hope this version solve my graphic freeze problem. :)

Changes made from version 5.00.10 to 5.00.20:

- Update the subcategories listed for City Navigator Europe 2009 maps.
- Correct various out of memory conditions that can occur.
- Correct the processing of a received Location Message to not save the point on the Recent Finds list.
- Correct the processing of received text messages to not close the GMXT application when a text message is received without a subject.
- Correct an error that occurs when a headset is plugged into some devices.
- Correct the use of the directional pad for movement between hyperlinks within Flight Status.
- Correct saving and editing waypoints with non-English characters.

Bro wengsiu,

This is for WM5+ devices only. The last letter in the filename i.e. '50020w' denotes which is for what device. w for wm5+, p is for palm and for Symbian devices have no letter, just numbers.

Any users here have experience of very frequent program crash?

For me during navigating it may crash, leaving the voice prompt still on but map / display all hang

Another is the program just crash while browsing the maps too vigourously ie browsing very fast.

The above problem shouldn't be GPSr's fault as it may happen even without the BT switched on / GPS disabled.

Second problem is : If I create a x:\garmin\ folder in my phone / pda on-board memory, it will actually get deleted automatically, but not immediately. FYI, if you put both maps inside the on-board mem, crashing happens a lot less, but alas it only lasts about a few hours before the folder just disappears.

Using : P1i with 4.20.20, with *ahem* non-garmin receiver.

I used to have this problem with GMXT v4+ & v5.00.10. This problem gone with v5.00.20. Try to upgrade your GMXT & don't forget to delete all the setting files in /Garmin folder. (backup your POi first).
