I have created 760SGMY rgn, but no one from MFM members successfully to update with it yet. I also don't have any 7x0 to try with.

Any way to revert if unsuccessful, I have a candidate in mind.

Give me his current/original fw/sw version. If possible the link to garmin website
BTW, you can DIY it... for anyone who like to learn, PM me for the basic/simple tutorial.
But, everything is at YOUR OWN RISK.

it's very simple to make RGN file.
use tools Unp2.exe and merge105.exe

2x5W and 7x5 US/EU/Taiwan, you just need to make RGN and using Update.exe to loading the Sing/Mal Firmware into it,
No need to modified the RGN file. and It's work.
I can anyway switch it between Us/Taiwan/Sing firmware.

For 2x0W and 7X0, it's quite difficult, the result is different with 2x5 and 7X5 series..

My friend did try on his 760 US, but not success, additional Loss the bluetooth feature.
My friend and I success to flash 2x5 and 7x5 series,
so far, no idea on 2x0 and 7x0 series,
My friend recover his 7x0 with US firmware RGN file, but bluetooth not work.
Now I trying to resolve his bluetooth problem,
May be bro bahathir can make 760 sing/mal RGN for you to try.
see whether the result same with my friend and I.

Good luck.

Yes, I created rgn files with those tools.
I don't know much about 7x0, maybe US/EU and TWN hardware are using different bluetooth chipset., but, you alway can try the master reset, Try PM PouchX for assistance. :)

Yes, I did try hard reset before, but same.
I tried to copy remoteSW backup file back into N760 remoteSW folder,
try manual update the bluetooth,
but no luck, the bluetooth still no working.

Yes, may be pouchx or neadrenalin can help. :prayer:
pouchx, I tried to use sing/mal firmware make RGN and update it into my N760 US,
No success !! then recover it back to US firmware,
but I loss the bluetooth feature,
How I going to solve it ?
:tq:

bahathir wrote:It runs well on my 755T, and guess what... JCVs with Garmin maps :) and navigation style of 765TWN270, the compass and scale are there :) !!! Language Guide also working. 1-sec tracking also there.

But... I don't see Ecoroute's "Less Fuel" in Route preferences.
Custom POI icons still ....

Thanks for sharing bahathir  glad finally we get to enjoy the JCV, yet fully agree with you that MFM still offers the best routing of all though...

It seems with this Sing/Mal version, you get some, you lose some (as to compare with Taiwan version). My findings over this version:

Gain:
(1) JCV
(2) Though Custom POI icons not visible still, but we can now enjoy building names

3 different maps produce 3 different displays...

MFM v1.65
Image

Garmin NT v4.02
Image

MSM NT2009.5
Image

Lose:
(1) Street name (in small green box on top of menu) of the road we are driving on, as in Taiwan 2.70

Status quo:
(1) Compass
(2) Ecoroute (I think the "Less Fuel" preference is not even available for Taiwan 2.70 too... but yes, it is there for US 3.60 )

As for Language guide, it may be working but limited for certain number of words only. Perhaps because it is just samples. Didn't check for Taiwan 2.70 previously.

Yes, the Language Guide is just a sample, and did not work with 765TWN270. BTW, I am reverted back to 765TWN270 because
1) The current road name display during navigation is very useful.
2) From the 765TWN270 changelogs, there are several performance updates, which may not in the 765SGMY210
3) I am protesting Garmin, because encrypting sgmy JCVs just for PROFIT$.
4) I only use MFM maps, NOT Garmin maps or M$M maps.
5) It is my freedom to choose which I think good for me. :) Freedom of Choices

Thank you.

p/s:
To gpspassion's guests.
Welcome to MFM, Malfreemaps.com. I wish you can read all the posts in this thread starting from Page 1 :). Then you may learn how the 7x5T users were struggling to use 7x5T in Malaysia/Singapore.
Hope everyone enjoy their stay/visit in MFM :)
