Yea.. I think the official name is the most appropriate. I frequently unable to find POIs, only to realize later that they actually exist. The names either got translated to English or worst when the unofficial names are used.

If you are not local to that area, chances are you wouldn't know how the locals call it. Official names provide uniformity and they are more accessible to everyone.

I think we should use official name and also non official name for ease of everyone, and search will be able to search both then and it will be easy for both local or foreigner. Example: Kementerian Kesihatan (Health Ministry), isn't this would be win-win situation? as if you search either "Kesihatan" or "Health", both will yield the same result. \:D/

And as well make a standard format for mappers to name the buildings or pois, now when i look into POIs it looks kind of messy where sometimes some has capital letters and some doesnt when they are the same name if u get what i meant.

Another classic example is Klinik Desa xxx (place name) ... Do you guys think is it better in Klinik Desa or Rural Clinic. Another one is Pusat Kesihatan xxx (place name)... Pusat Kesihatan or Health Centre? :-k

I agree with Bro Fruitplus.... Better put it as it is. (Klinik Desa....., Klinik Kesihatan......, Klinik Pesakit Luar... etc.) Even I suggest better put the hospitals' name as it is. Not putting like Batu Pahat General Hospital (better put Hospital Daerah Batu Pahat). Most of the government hospital has their own unique name like (Hospital Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim) for Kulai District Hospital. Tq. :peace:

You've got my votes here in keeping to the name as it. We do not have foreign script to romanised issue ... well except for some places where the "??" cannot decide what to call it and keep on changing them according to where the wind blow. Try our neighbour in the north naming issues and you will really :frus: :ko:

I'll be submitting my earlier follies to be updated ... just found one I created  .

Can we have toll amount information built into the map? For example, can the gps device tells me how much toll I need to pay for a trip from Sg Petani to Ipoh (via Plus Highway).

Hopefully, this is possible to do at the map level (as opposed to the firmware level). May sifus here can enligthen me.

Hi,

I like the kilometer marker shown along the N-S Highway on the Johor map. I realised that the markers are not available for other maps. The markers are quite accurate and it is nice to compare them against the actual markers on the highway. Good job by the mapper. I hope this can be consistently done for all highways.
