If it not shown in webupdater, then you already got up to date files/firmware/

After change to singapore firmware, when I tried first times use webupdater, first webupdater told that no updater for my unit, then I click next, I saw on the top of the option, got bluetooth firmware, firmware udpater for GDBxx MSN... firmware updater for GTMxxx, actually I don't know what is it, then just tick it and click "Next". then webupdater show downloading, after finished, I reboot the my nuvi, after Nuvi switch on the nuvi will pop out firmware update, and updater completed.
To prove it, I tried one more times of webupdater, but this times no more firmware updater option for selecting, only some voice and text file.
so can't capture the screen for you to see.

Do you have any idea if this will work with the Nuvi760 that has lost it's BT function (reported at previous pages) after flashing to Sing/Mal and then to original FW?

I'm trying to delete this "weirdly"-named folder in my /garmin/logs but I can't. it just displays an error message. tried forcing RD in command line already to no avail.

TIA

Nuvi 765 TWN - Navigation Issue.

Postby syahzan » Mon Jul 20, 2009 6:42 pm

Hi all,

I've been using my 765 for about a month now mostly around SP and Penang area just to test it out.
Last Saturday I decided to take the Nuvi for road test from SP to KL. Everything went smoothly until I got
to Juru Toll. As I was approaching the Juru Toll my Nuvi (Using MFM 1.66) switches the over to different mode.

What I'm trying to say is the purple line that suppose to be highlighting the route that I'm suppose to take is no
longer on the PLUS Highway. Instead it's drawing another purple line along side the plus highway. I drove for a while
waiting for my nuvi to recalibrate itself (thinking that it lost the satellite signal momentarily) but after 5 minutes driving
nothing changed. I decided to stop the navigation and restart the navigation again from my current location.
After that everything was fine all the way to KL until I reached my destination.

On my way back just now it happened again. I went into Tapah R&R for refueling and when I got out from the R&R
the purple line is no longer on the PLUS Highway. This time it's showing the purple line in a straight line all the way from
KL to SP. Just like if you're driving in a straight line.

Anyone that had encountered this problem and would like to share how can I resolved this problem
would be much appreciated.

Thanks :)

Bro syahzan, can you provide more details such as start destination and end destination ?

Can you also try 1.67 to see whether the problem occurs again.

Actually, I also experienced the same problem, routing from Penang -> KL, and the purple line 'terlajak' at Juru tol plaza :). I already reported it in NPM feed back forum.

I had the same experience with both MSM and MFM maps. But it happened to me on the way up before Ipoh near Tanjung Malim.

There was another route on the side of the actual road when there is no road there.

I stopped navigation and reselected the destination and it was OK after that. the first time, i was using MSM but I switched to MFM on the next week end. It happened again but it was near Gopeng. The wrong "route" seems to be straighter than the actual road offset to the left.

hi all,

thank for the quick reply. I guess I'm not the only one facing this problem.

the first time it occured was when i plot
from : sungai petani utara toll plaza
to : bandar sri permaisuri lake, KL

second time it happened on my way back when I plot
from : kuala lipis (town)
to : my home (sg. petani)

I'll give it another try with 1.67 maybe this weekend and try to feedback to you guys if it makes any difference.

By the way I'm really enjoying using this nuvi in KL area, with all the 3D buildings and awesome navigation and not to forget the wonderful MFM map!

Cheers! :)
