Bro cruiser,

Durian season is about over... end season Durians are no good. Will definitely write a review when I try out the TK11... the only catch is what do I compare it with. I have worked with high power LEDs and even designed drivers for it but never have had a chance to experience its applications.. Well, it's time to start.

Bro simseair,

Why the secrecy and using PM? The price can be shared to enable others to get better bargain.... unless you are a seller.... ... cheers!

Yes, and I fully agree even though, that is not my biznuz to have any involvement abt other ppl's efforts to make any side-line sales etc, it only tantamount to an un-approve dealing and wheeling among Sellers & potential buyers from within this thread which is fundamentally meant to highlight, share and discuss on the unit(s) one owns or is about to purchase...

Exchanges on buying & selling should be conducted in the other thread Antyong provides for Sellers, not in here in whatever form or in an indirect manner.

Members should also understand, this thread is about the exchange over a common fancy on EDCs or whatever it may be on type or of make... it doesn't matter.

Accompanied with pics are always welcome... but it is obvious when pics are simply posted and no more educational facts are exchanged. Just copy-paste and it soon becomes obvious... someone is trying to be the "fox" in selling although its not openly stating it...

There is the other section where one can promote and sell it from there... thats completely fine and correct to do so... keep it separate please.

Btw, pics with embedded trade logo/watermark are clear giveaways of a seller.... but we all knew that don't we??? [-X

Currently, if you want to purchase SAFE & SURE, there are sellers from USA and many more around the globe incl. Australia, HK and Phillipines too where you can order safely through EBay targeting MY and Spore market.

The one thing that some ppl don't trust Ebay sellers are the those that you buy off as "used" and items that are almost new however, the good thing about buying through such sources, other than walk-in to a shop and buy it off straightaway is that with Ebay, you buy with your credit card or if you have credits in yr PayPal account.

This is VERY safe when dealing with sellers, and better to choose or deal with sellers with a high rating.

If anything goes wrong, with yr purchase, new ones with an original packing we are referring to, your money is in safe hands without much hassle that you still are posed & confronted with at a shop... so think abt it, buy safely and buy from a Seller who is registered with the Commerce Chamber, and also, one whose license is still valid and not revoked either.

With PayPal, through Ebay, its by far, secure and safer a buy than from any seller(s) who dare not show his/her face AT ALL or plays a cat & mouse game when making/settling payments etc...

I'm not a fan of Ebay but if have to.. impatient, no choice and cheaper esp., then cannot be choosy la... at least satisfaction is there with backing from PayPal against unscrupulous Sellers!!!

Sellers dealing through Ebay and screened/approved by PayPal are mostly transparent and serious with good ethics and payment arrangements!!! If not good somehow, chargeback 100% guaranteed by PayPal... something you won't be guaranteed by non-transparent sellers... they always sweet talk before sales, once that happens... and you feel duped... (kiss goodbye about all the sweet talk & promises assured earlier) afterwards when problems arise. ](*,)

Bro cruiser, I have one noob question... been reading through reviews and got myself kind of confused between lux and lumens  Some put the specs in lux and some in lumens #-o ... did refer to wikipedia and such, but if I want to have one small EDC flashlight that is very bright and can gimme very good throw distance, how do I get to know from the specs? Thanks!

Haaahhh, interesting question between Night and Day...heheh...

Lux is the measurement of available lighting conditions and the Lumens is the velocity of light made available. This is put in simple terms, Better keep it simple on this than jargons that needs further explanations.

So, the option to verify what is appealing to be satisfied is first, what will your naked eye find satisfactory or unsatisfactory when its dark or dim or when facing pitch darkness???

Candlelight conditions are around 1,5 to 5 lux. To have the kind of light to read a book with darkness surrounding you, you need a minimum of 10 lumens to not irritate the person next to you (if any) when you need that strength to read a book/map. But with a light force of about 25 Lumens, its like a 40Watt lightbulb switched on.

Whats most important as bottomline is always... if you like to see much under very poor lighting conditions... you would not go for less with low Lumens... I started with a T1 (max 225 Lumens) and I was glad, that was the litmus for me with Lumen strength.

Wah so quick reply, thanks bro for the explanation hehehe. So for T1 with max lumens of 225, how much better it is against my cheaper Nu-Flare which claims to have this 210 lumens? Mine quite OK for a distance of 200ft or so I think, but for me to spend on T1 or TK11 as what bro Moey is getting, just wanna be sure :-k as u have put it, to be worth every penny spent :)

Thats right, and U R :welcome:

You just have to feel that way with how you indulge at every cent spent on those lousy or lovely Lumens!!!

Don't forget to share more of yr experience and if possible too, snap some pics of the throws from yr Nu-Flare... try it on the coast... very dark there...

Brother Moey,

Since you have done some design work on LED, care to eleborate a bit more re overdiving LED just to get it brighter and loose its half life? I trust it will be similar to over clocking your cpu just to get the turbo boost and shorten its half life in the long run.

It would be interesting to compare the claimed output/performance, some of these mfg claim v/s what can be really achieved by stock LED's, technical spec without stressing the LEDs.

Like the P7 and H7, both using same LED (I think) and one giving less output - in this case probably due to its dimming circuit.

Hi,

I will be glad to share if members do not mind. I got the P7 for S$85 and the P14 for S$108. The P3 costs S$25.
