some TTS voices like American Samantha TTS doesnt work (shows up "incompatible audio version) in Taiwan's firmware, but works fine in My/Sg firmware. Why would this happen on a Taiwan set?

Different localization firmwares use different sets of voice files. Some are downright incompatible, some will run but with haywire voice prompts, and some will result in serious software error. :shock:

Yeay... :thumbsup:
Same time when im checking the website.
Wanna try whats new inside.

Had upgraded my Taiwan 255W to V3.30. Now I regret doing it. With V3.30 the Japanese keyboard is gone! It is not that I am using it everyday but why should we have less feature with this new update? It will be useful when we go to Japan for holidays or for works. Tried re-install 3.0 back but the keyboard is still not there. Anyone knows how to re-install Japanese keyboard back into Taiwan 255W? Please advise. Thanks.

I am using an made in taiwan set as well and found it quite complicated.But after getting webupdate for Garmin
http://www8.garmin.com/support/collection.jsp?product=999-99999-27 I find that it says I have the current firmware and no updates available.Next I have the option to add on TTS voice language that available,theres a list with a box for you to tick.Have you try this?It works for me.

hi there im new to this forum and just created acc ytd. Ive bought this model ytd too for rm810.
Hope that i can find solutions here,
So my question is;
1.can i have 2 different maps,lets say 1 for msm 1 for mfm since i will have junction view for msm but i have more custom poi for mfm.
Can store 1 map in gps and another in sd card? So by this way i can switch anytime between this two.

2.why they did not provide the usb cable connecting to pc?

3.How do i store mfm in sd card? First i dl MFMv169 and then i set (road poi+custom poi only) and they ask me to save gmapsupp.img. Where do i save it in the card? Is it i nid to make a copy of garmin in my gps>paste it in my sd card>paste the gmapsupp in there?

3.Whats the charging time when it is in off mode for complete recharge?
