You can try la bro. Just to clear things up, the Nuvi200W I reflashed had already using Nuvi205W firmware. So if cannot work, maybe try reflashing to 205W -> 2W -> 255W. If you have time and can come to my place, maybe we can perform some experiments.

I am a newbie here and I have just bought a 255w. If I were to get into this thread earlier by a week, I will be following my initial plan to take 205w.

Thus, sharing from JunJun would prevent people to repeat what I gone through.

drsec

I don't know what kind of hidden agenda you have. Certainly you have expressed your view here with regards to the JCV, which doesn't matter to me.

If you have done a bit more research, you would have known that the method to enable the JCV on 205W was discussed also in a Thai forum.

I don't know for sure if JunJun got his method/idea from the Thai forum. I'm thankful to him because I was not able to understand how to enable the JCV feature, and this does matter to me.

While I know you don't like the JCV feature, I love to have this feature enabled. Whether I use it or not, is my preference. Furthermore, it's no secret that a lot of members here use both MSM and MFM maps.

So what is the big deal and why must you say such things to hurt people's feeling?

From JunJun's posts, he has contributed useful tricks for us, which is very much appreciated and I hope we don't just lose a good member like that. Yes, JunJun you have my support and I hope you will come back.

As for drsec, since you are bold enough to say such thing, why aren't you dare to stick around?

It is just that I feel that just because MSM does not like the discussions that may ensue, it is does not make it alright for you to discuss it here.

In respect to your question, "Do you think that possible you can open this thread topic on MSM forum ?" The answer is I dont know because I have left MSM for some time now and is now loyal to MFM. That is also one of the reasons why I left MSM.

If you want to talk about Junction view (with gentle persuasion for others to be give a chance to try MSM), discuss it elsewhere. I feel it is only appropriate and polite thing to do.

One of the main reasons why I went back to non-junction view is because I want to stick with MFM and I dont want to shift back to MSM. I will wait until MFM has junction view then I will change my unit to one that supports Junction View.

I would be so bold to say that I suspect that you are a implant of MSM to lure MFM members back to MSM.

I will leave this discussion here.

Hello, we (myself and JunJun) are both still around. I have been posting away and quietly helping many in the background to unbrick their units.

Nice little theatrics by our friend.

And please read the thread carefully and see who's the sensitive one.

For the record, I don't have such a glamorous job as selling GPS devices. I am just a User who does not like to be used.

Try the diagnostic page method (tap and hold battery icon for about 7secs), more convenient IMHO.

Hi Aiklee, do you need help to revert to Nuvi200W or to force-flash Nuvi200W to Nuvi205W? When you flashed to Nuvi205W, which GUPDATE.GCD did you create RGN from?
