Re: Custom avoidance for ERP Gantries (only for GMXT)

In fact the first line of brother dchan126's original message has clearly stated the file should be copied to E:\Garmin\Apps\Symbian\. This is too obvious that it is for GMXT Symbian. I totally overlooked this hint but installing it with my old O2 WM5 PDA (researching). Too obvious, it failed. To recover, you only need to copy back the NVM file and perform a soft reset. Lucky that I have not installed it staright to my HTC HD WM6 environment.

Correct me if I am wrong, Mapking G10 compatible maps (maintained by another community) used to have gantry locations with operating hours + charge in it but they are not linked with route calculation (customization). This is too good an enhancement for the GMXT environment but it is a pity that it only supports Symbian GMXT. Wonder if sifus can take it up to port it run under WM6.x??

JayCee

In USA / Europe, they have designated lanes on one side of road, that during peak hours, only cars with 4 persons inside vehicle are allowed to travel. Cars with less than 4 persons are in violation of rules and will be fine.

Postal code not fully implemented yet. Please do a search in forum for your answer.

BTW..bro boon8623..as Bro Silver mentoned above..try to don't tick anything if u not familiar on that..coz every avoidance u choose..it will make some effect which sometimes your route little bit crazy..suggest just always toying with Faster & shorter..

Can anyone tell me how to transfer "My Location" points in my garmin mobile XT (mobile phone) to another garmin XT (car in dash GPS) device? Any help is appreciated. TQ.

Morrisage,
Try replacing GARMIN_WPT.NVM with the one from phone. This file can be found in \Garmin folder (in my GMXT WM, it's at device's memory). Not sure which GMXT version you are using in your phone, and also not sure if GARMIN_WPT.NVM can be shared across any platform (if you are using different platforms in phone and in car). Before replacing, pls backup the original file first.

DVPro,

Thanks very much. My phone uses garmin XT 5.00.20 running on Windows Mobile. My car uses Garmin XT but the version I have not checked yet. I shall try your suggestion today evening. TQ.
