Re: Nuvi 255W Shutdown when clicking on Map of Search Results

Hi Mates,

Maybe you guys can check those location in sequence after one another (far away). Try as below:-

Muar > Jengka > Merang > pontian > taiping > mersing > Bidor > Seremban & etc...

If you locate one another in big distance, or turn the text to British English (not qwerty),... hehe that device will also hang...

:-'
Warm regards,
Mito

If your is a US or International model, just connect, run webupdater and it will provide you with a list of all the latest voice files compatible with your firmware version. Just select the ones you want and it will install it. If you select one that is already installed, it will overwrite it.

Hi DrSec,

How about 255W- Taiwan unit?. Do I follow the above instruction. Taiwan 255W is a bit different with EU or USA unit.

New firmware is V3.4 and existing firmware is V3.0

Pls advice

Thailand map will work if save in memory card with the name gmapsupp.img, not gmapprom.img.. FYI, memory card only recognize gmapsupp.img, and internal memory can recognize gmapsupp.img, gmapprom.img & gmapprom1.img...
Operating Garmin Nuvi 255W SG/MY version with:
- SW 2.80

- MFM-Garmin map
