bro Zeus73 is right, you should provide some info abt your Unit.
1) Which Version (US/Taiwan/SgMY/China or India ?)
2) Current Software version (goto Tools >Settings> system>about, do a screenshot) before post here, masking the Unit ID on the pic.
3) Where are you located (If JB, may be we can meet)
4) Do a PC screenshot of your Nuvi drive\Garmin\........
5) On your nuvi, tap and hold the battery Icon until logon diagnostic mode, do a screenshot of first page.
6) after that, tap "Next", tap "Start Test", Tap "More", Wait the test finish, do a screenshot of "inventory"
7) your Nuvi map info page screenshot has a different with my Nuvi 255w & Nuvi 765. see the picture for comparison,
Can you see any different.
8) or you can try download the ready gmapsupp.img(artful) from HERE
after download, direct copy the gmapsupp.img into your nuvi Garmin folder.

your map corrupted i think, that's why system found no map or you loaded india map instead of malaysia.

Without looking at your device and understanding the history it is very difficult to pin-point the fault. We can only speculate.

Right now, what matters is that is working and first thing you should do is to backup the entire contents into your lappy / pc.

Before you start to be adventurous, you should read up on mastering the Nuvi.

i think previously you did not load in the SG/MY map because other country maps will only work in their repective country, you will experience your gps to struck at the particular road because the road doesn't exit in SG/MY.

Best backup everything.
