Never read the instructions? It did mention backup GPX folder.



i did! and i copy it over to my nuvi..same leh... :fire:

Make sure that the backup file in /GPX/current.gpx over-rides the file in Nuvi main /garmin/gpx directory.

All favorites are stores as current.gpx file name.

guess its all too late to do that? i did backup the GPX folder..but i never rename.. :cry:

Dont despair.

If you have a backup, then all is not lost.

I had the same problem. I did a hard reset. Copied my old gpx into the folder and the list still showed empty.

When you reset, all your favorite locations will be deleted.
Just set your home location after resetting.
This will create a new gpx file.
Then copy your old gpx over the new gpx.
If you have a home location in your old favorite, you'll find a duplicate. Just delete one.

You will find your list of personal favorites.

Try this.

Aiya... Asking you to rename the file from current.gpx to temp.gpx then copy back to your nuvi.

YES! it works! just need to rename to temp.gpx and its done! all my favorite is back..haha!

No you can't use webupdater to update firmware for local nuvi.
If you try to use webupdater, webupdater will link to the garmin US site and find that there will be no update for your unit or find that it is not compatible.
