MFM-Garmin Map (cGPSmapper) Installation Step-by-Step Guide

my garmin has been destroyed.

I remember while i tried to install the custom POI, when it asked me if i wanted to install the map i clicked yes, and it lagged for a few seconds then i restarted my machine. Ever since then, i cant be able to use my garmin already. It can still be used to view map, poi etc but when i click search add, the relevant add does not appear.

how to rectify this.... please...

Not clear on what garmin destroyed??
Garmin Mapsource in your PC or GPS device.?

Is Mapsource in PC, uninstall and install again.

on my device (china machine)

what it simply means is that i can load the map when i tried to key in the address only the pre-defined address appears, i.e. the editor's add etc. for the address that i tried to key in, it cannot be searched. wondering why

also the keyboad also cant be seen. sigh

I tried this but when I installed the garmin xt into my handphone it kept scanning for bluetooth device. My handphone already has the gps chip. Which garmin software should I use? Please help.

This is my first time to update maps in my OMNIA. Just want to know whether can I straight away delete and paste new updated files? or must rename it?

In my GARMIN Folder (stored at my storage card), I saw 3 other files name with the extention .img, which one to delete? Or just the ignore the rest... (kindly refer attachment)

Please help me...

Do you still need that Gmapsupp? What map is this?
If you dun need it anymore, just paste the new one and it will overwrite the old one.

We can not confirm that your garmin is destroy or not..
Best is to bring it over to any Garmin dealer.

Bro Andyfriends has not described his predicament fully. He has been posting on a few threads already.

From what I gathered from him, he encountered problems with GMXT installed on a China-made GPS after installing MFM Custom POI. He is unable to do a search and some keys on his keyboard does not appear. Since it is not a Garmin, then he cant take it to a Garmin dealer. It is not his Garmin that is "destroyed", it is his GMXT software that has encountered problems.

I have asked him to reinstall GMXT but he does not have the source files to do this.

He has both Garm GMXT and Papago installed on the China-made GPS.

I suggest, he download Papago map here and use it.

Maybe some other brothers who are familiar with WinCE GPS can help him.
