Woohoo, I got the GPSmile 62E. Just get it loaded with the latest MFM map. Any differences of MFM Full maps downloadable from EastGear site?

Thx.

Great itching...
Start with the S60v5 version, it is VR-ONE if not wrong.
What about incorporate custom POI for Garmin release into Papago map?
Thx.

My unit (papago R5800) is having problem locking on the satellite signal. When I click on the system status screen, all I saw was just 1 signal bar (number 12). I left my unit in my home balcony and after half day, I still failed to get the signal.
Anyone here know what is wrong with my unit? Hardware problem?
Please help.. thanks

Same problem happened to me right now.. i couldn't run my papago x3.. the device just cannot locate coordinate...

i've been told that's about the COM problem.. need help.. ](*,)

Mozais81,
If you still having problem getting the satellite signal, I suggest you bring your unit to M3Asia in Phileo Damansara II.
As for my case, it turns out to be a permanent hardware failure. I brought my unit to M3Asia 2 days ago and after some half a day troubleshooting the device, M3 decided to replace a brand NEW unit to me. They tried all sort of stuff to my unit i.e. flashing, formatting & reinstall winCE 6.0 but all to no avail!
The best part about this is they give me the new unit right away. I don't have to wait for several days or weeks. This is what I call professionalism. Good Job M3Asia!

tq bro.. the problem solved.. now some feature doenst run well. the malay (male voice) still sound women speech. and incomplete entering roundabout speech as mentioned earlier.. is it a 'bug'?
the other problem is when i'm using the shortest distance in routing option, the direction is very cofusing, the device told me to exit the freeway and using the next way which has traffic lights and junction. lastly it goes to the same route....! haiyya.. :ko:

Hi. I'm new here.

I just bought a GooZEE X500 with Papago X3 Platinum this afternoon, which comes preloaded with MFM 091008 map and navigasi.net PPG BETA7 map. I'm trying to update the mfm map to the latest one (091113). I've downloaded the custom version here. But when i replaced all 27 files in the Maps/MFM folder, the unit cannot detect the new map. When I copy back the older 091008, it can recognise it. Is there any steps I'm missing?
Love what you guys are doing here. Looking forward to contribute something once I get the hang of this GPS hobby.

Thanx.

Hi fys,

Unfortunately, your unit is not on the supported list of MFM maps. viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3184

You're are also one of the many that will probably be not very happy with the unit you bought. I believe you bought your unit from Clarion. (correct me if i'm wrong). There have been alot of people who feel cheated by them. Example: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5157&start=10

There was an announcement which i read at viewtopic.php?f=11&t=5367 saying there are only 2 companies that have the rights to use papago's oem software, M3 Asia and Eastgear. The navigasi map you have is probably the 'pirated' one also, seeing it still says BETA on it.

Just wondering, how much did you buy it for?

I'm very sad right now already. I thought I was buying a legitimate Papago GPS unit. They were selling right next to Garmins. But I avoided Garmin due to its high price and I wanted video playback function. The shop told me GooZEE is a legitimate unit. Even advised me not to go for the China made ones. I played around with the GooZEE 5" and it looks pretty solid and very nice finishing. I mean it looks and feels much better than those china brands. 5" screen looks much comfortable than the 4.3". And they told me its original Papago. I bought it at RM700. For the same spec, Garmin's was above 1k already. And since u mentioned, I noticed the warranty card was from Clarion Multimedia Sdn Bhd. But I bought it from one of the shops in Low Yat. What am I supposed to do now? How did it come with a MFM map dated 091008 that is working? I am lost now!
