fys wrote:I'm very sad right now already. I thought I was buying a legitimate Papago GPS unit. They were selling right next to Garmins. But I avoided Garmin due to its high price and I wanted video playback function. The shop told me GooZEE is a legitimate unit. Even advised me not to go for the China made ones. I played around with the GooZEE 5" and it looks pretty solid and very nice finishing. I mean it looks and feels much better than those china brands. 5" screen looks much comfortable than the 4.3". And they told me its original Papago. I bought it at RM700. For the same spec, Garmin's was above 1k already. And since u mentioned, I noticed the warranty card was from Clarion Multimedia Sdn Bhd. But I bought it from one of the shops in Low Yat. What am I supposed to do now? How did it come with a MFM map dated 091008 that is working? I am lost now!

Well, if you're really unsatisfied, you can try to get a refund. but judging from some of the post, they'll try to make it tough for you.

Hi.
I have returned the GooZEE to the shop and went and bought a Holux 62E. At last now I can update the map. This is a tough lesson for me. One thing to note, the Holux looks exactly like the GooZEE (Casing wise) except that the GooZEE has rubbery surface and Holux is just plain plastic. But weird thing is the Holux which I bought directly from IM Lifestyle did not bundle in the USB cable and any microSD card. But in the manual inside the CD, it did mention all the accessories including the USB and microSD card comes bundled. I called up and they say it didnt come with the USB cable and microSD card, but they are not aware the manual did mentioned those things are being bundled together. They sold the rest of the accessories at an additional cost of RM100 which consist of a screen protector, pouch, USB cable, Adapter. Anyway have informed them and they would correct the manual.

Anyway, as long as I can use the latest map, all is well and proved I got a genuine version. Forgot to mention, as I was returning the GooZEE to the shop, they got the guts to tell me that Clarion is in discussion with Papago to sign contract and would be one of the brands that legally distributes Papago within this year. Dont know true or not. I didnt believe it and opt for a 90% refund (rugi RM70 bucks).

Anyway, hope this new Holux 62E can wipe my sadness away. Still dont know how to make video and audio to play on it yet. Cant seem to read the media files I throw into the microSD card despite putting in the supported avi files. Is there anyone who knows how to do it? Any thread here that discuss about this brand?

Thanx.

Holux 62E

Postby ccwong » Tue Nov 17, 2009 5:40 pm

hi fys,

To answer ur questions:-

1. the 62E, i hv tested it can only support wmv, wma, jpg, if u want ur 62e to play avi format, u may need 3rd party program such as tcpmp player.

2. no specific folder naming is required, meaning u can put ur media files to any folder.

3. Holux gps discussion - viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3336

hope u enjoy ur Holux 62E, thank you.

Regards,
Wong

Cannot be the main distributor of Holux is doing some hanky panky?

Hi fys,

It is true that Clarion is discussing with Papago to distribute their software legally. Still awaiting official confirmation from Papago.
