There were several instances. Try the NKVE from Subang exit to Bukit Beruntung. You'll also get 'sharp bends ahead' and 'approaching toll gate' anouncements too.

fys,

Wait for the firmware update.
The product document clearly stated it supports MP3 audio, video files, etc.
EastGear in SG has yet to launch it in SG. Hopefully there is a newer firmware when it is launched in SG.
The hardware & WinCE 6.0 are value for money.

Thx.

fys wrote:Hi. I'm new here.

I just bought a GooZEE X500 with Papago X3 Platinum this afternoon, which comes preloaded with MFM 091008 map and navigasi.net PPG BETA7 map. I'm trying to update the mfm map to the latest one (091113). I've downloaded the custom version here. But when i replaced all 27 files in the Maps/MFM folder, the unit cannot detect the new map. When I copy back the older 091008, it can recognise it. Is there any steps I'm missing?
Love what you guys are doing here. Looking forward to contribute something once I get the hang of this GPS hobby.

Thanx.

hi all..

for anyone who having this problem, please do not return your goozee. i also having the same problem but manage to solve it. what you need to do just rename the 'MFM' folder to the 'MFM091113' (according to the date it was release) and put the folder into the 'Maps' Folder. You also can keep the old version by rename it to MFM091008.

hope this will help...

:peace:

Holy crap! are you kidding me?? I went through all that trouble for nothing?? And wasted extra money for a lower version of Papago software? The platinum version can even has additional search for house number also. Even has FM transmitter. And AVI videos actually can run on the GooZEE but not on the Holux. Sad sad. But one thing great is that the Holux 62E is running on sirf 4 and winCE 6.0. Slightly faster. I'm just hanging on to this small thought to convince myself all is worth it. But I hope there's new firmware to upgrade to fix all the weaknesses.

I tried it (091118) out yesterday afternoon from Bukit Jalil (KL) to Bukit Beruntung. I can't say if it will occur at other places. Quite scarry to get the warning when you're travelling in access of 100kph!

Yes, I believe is the "Beep Beep" sound. As I understand, not only over the speed limit. The warning sound will come out on dangerous areas and toll, police station...etc.

when you are near to toll, you can assume maybe the sound warning is near the toll booth.
when you hear at road with nothing over there, you check your speed, maybe more than 60, 80 or 120km/h etc
if you hear when you are at zigzag road, maybe the warning is to warn you to drive carefully...

1 sound, many meaning. it depends on where you are. try to predict the sound and you know the meaning...

Hi. I think there's an error with this map update. All Petaling Jaya addresses are wrongly labelled/categorized under Puchong. Kindly pls verify.

Thanx.
