GPS device based on Windows CE & Mobile XT

There are some GPS units currently available in the market using Windows CE & Mobile XT platform and selling at much cheaper price than Nuvi 205. Any idea whether these units will perform on par with Nuvi 205, in term of satellite locking speed and re-routing speed?

I'm currently using my PDA phone and found that it's very slow, so it might be the same with those using Windows CE & Mobile XT?

This is not an apple to apple benchmark. Garmin does not have solution for WinCE devices. And comparing integrated solution vs dedicated solution is also not a fair comparison.

FYI, GMXT product life is at its end due to Garmin launching NuviFone.

Thanks for your info. My purpose was to know whether the integrated solution will be better (faster) than my current PDA phone or I should go for Nuvi staright away as the price different is quite a lot.

There is an option to clear the history in a Nuvi but if you're using GMXT, the only way to clear recent history is to delete ?:\Garmin\Garmin.nvm, however this will also clear GMXT settings.

Garmin Mobile XT delay problem

I installed latest garmin 5.00.6 on my n97,but the delay problem still happen during navigation. can anybody teach me to settle this problem? Even in Lite map also have this problem too :ko:
