How to activate hidden tracklog feature on Nuvi 2x5/7x5

Nuvi 205W (coverted to 2W) with MY/SG v2.70 firmware.

The track logs captured in the \Garmin\Logs\xxxxx folders seem to contain only 2 files, nav.bin and traffic.bin without gps.bin. Thus, wNutrak unable to convert to .gpx right?

Any idea why there is missing gps.bin?

question:

i'm in an area that was not covered by map, therefore on where i am screen, its not showing "nearest address" and "nearest intersection". it just blank.

what to do?

Try as below,
- Relax.... you can slowly press as sequence (1), (2), (3) and (4).
You may also Press (1), then Slowly and romantically Say "I Love you",
after that Press (2), then Slowly and romantically Say "I Miss you",
After that Press (3), then Slowly and romantically Say "I want you",
After that Press (4) =====> Tracklog Appear
P/S: No need too nervous this method work on my Nuvi 765 100% successful rate. funny leh

It work well on my 255W too, 100% output from the pressing method by you!!

Try again with the wnutrak. You probably didn't get the input and/or output folders right.

First, make sure you have the latest version of the wNutrak which is v0.16a

from your window explorer, search for this file in your GPS which should look something like this
X:\Garmin\Logs\xxxxxxxx_xxxxxx\gps.bin

Once this file is located, right click mouse "open with", click on "choose program". Scroll down till you find "wNutrak" and click "OK"

The wNutrak program will pop up. Take note the location of the output file, and click on "Convert", and a "gpx" file will be created.

You would need to have Mapsource installed, and it will execute the "gpx" file.

Hmm.... I don't input the file name when I'm doing the conversion...

In the input field, I put the folder name rather than the file itself....

e.g. x:\debug\20091212_075805

20091212_075805 being the folder

One think to note, I did not use the folder in the x:\Garmin\logs directory....but directly from the x:\debug directory

Maybe you try that......

Hi guys, it's me again...I have a new problem now..my mapsource is not working...I have been asked to reinstall the program and I have done that for several times but I still face the same problem...I can't open the files that I have converted now....help pls....sorry n thanks

Bro Muurali, download and run MapSetToolKit. First, select "Check Registry" and look for "RegName" with Error status, then select "Exit". Next, select "Mapset installed" items with Error status and select "Uninstall". That should remove offending mapset(s) and should enable Mapsource to run normally.
