I noticed one problem for my Oregon after the latest software update which is very irritating. I normally turn off the "Lock On Road" function. When I use the unit, I noticed that the vehicle icon tends to jump between its current location and the nearby road on the map. As the vehicle icon is normally at the centre of the display, this means that the map will be jerking all the time between the 2 points.

It looks like the vehicle icon is trying to "lock on road" and yet trying to indicate its actual position. The jerking map is very irritating. I have never had that problem before so I think it may be due to the latest software.

Using the 60 CSx, I do not have such a problem. The vehicle icon always show its actual location rather than trying to lock on to the nearby road.

I complained about the Oregon after the v3.41 release where the vehicle icon will swing from the actual to the on-road location frequently. Now the v3.42 release has addressed the issue.

New betas for all Oregon's released today which according to the release notes seems to address the lock on road issue and geocaching dashboard problems post on these forums.

x00:

Changes made from version 3.41 to 3.42:

* Added date/time to Elevation Plot page when plot future is active.
* Added display of icons to the lists in Where To? > Waypoints and the Geocaching application.
* Fixed issue where vehicle position would switch between actual and on-road locations.
* Fixed issue where searching for a geocache from the Geocaching-Active widget would return to the map page without ever giving the option to navigate to the geocache.
