Hi Bro ahmadzafranz,
Yes, MFM East Malaysia Map is still very fresh and lack of details roads indeed. We need much contribution for tracklog and POIs. You can use your gps device to record down the tracklog and contribute to us to make our East Malaysia Map better.

You can read Here to get some idea on how to convert tracklog from papago to gpx format.
Please refer to newbie lounge or library on how to record tracklogs, POIs etc.

Cheers.

Hi ixole San,

:welcome:

Yes, Sarawak and Sabah both in the map. gdb file is the file that contain tracks or poi recorded by gps device or marked manually in mapsource. gdb file can be open and view in mapsource. gdb file can open in mapedit program for mapper to convert them to roads or poi and produce them in gps map. gdb is used also by contributors to contribute tracks and poi to MFM.

You can refer to library or newbies lounge to get more information.

A question. How to put .gdb file into Nokia 5800 XM? Or I should need to download and update gmapsupp.img ?

Just in case anyone not yet mapping the below location;

Borneo Convention Center - N 01°33.465', E 110°24.277' Elevation +45m
Traffic light to Borneo Convention Center - N 01°33.803', E 110°24.191' Elevation +39m
Brooke Dockyard Site Location - N 01°35.216', E 110°26.154' Elevation +35m

Yup, the best is update your map. MFM Garmin map release every Monday morning. Normally mappers will pick up all the .gdb and update them to the new maps.

Cheers.
